A well-written and recorded article which intelligibly captures the essence of wilayat al faqih. Even as someone who enjoys the written word more, I was pleasantly surprised that I learned just as much by listening to your recording first.
My learning journey has taught me the value of articles in introducing concepts that may be foreign to readers, like wilayat al faqih. I own a plethora of books on social and political commentaries by Muslim scholars, but oftentimes I find myself starting another book before finishing the one I was reading.
Through these articles, you and the other respectable scholars who have joined this endeavour are addressing two gaps in the present digital era: our shortened attention spans and the information overload we often find ourselves grappling with.
I have also come across the online journal Message of Thaqalayn, which presents digestible articles of a similar nature written by esteemed scholars in various fields of Shi’i studies. Scholars like yourself engaging with the production of multimodal texts can expand their reach and hopefully draw more people in to the Divine canopy of knowledge, with the Prophets, Imams and jurists as our preceptors.
With all this combined expertise I believe the Shi’i academic community is properly utilising the various media available for knowledge production and consumption. On behalf of all the lovers of the written word, thank you all for your service!
Thank you, Sahar for your thoughtful comment and feedback. Allah Bless.
